NEW Catch Basin makes Yard Drainage an EASY DIY
TORRENTIAL RAIN™ New! 4-Way Connect Catch Basins:
frenchdrainman.com/basins/4-way-connect-catch-basins/
Introducing TORRENTIAL RAIN™: The Revolutionary 4-Way Connect Catch Basin for Effortless Yard Drainage
Tired of bulky catch basins cluttering your yard? French Drain Man introduces TORRENTIAL RAIN™, a revolutionary low-profile sediment trap that combines functionality with a sleek design. In this video, we unveil the features and benefits of this innovative product, designed to streamline your drainage system without sacrificing performance.
Compact Design, Big Impact
Unlike traditional catch basins, TORRENTIAL RAIN™ boasts a compact design that seamlessly integrates into your landscape. With a capacity to hold a gallon of sediment, it effectively filters out debris and prevents clogs in your drainage system.
Versatile 4-Way Connection System
One of the standout features of TORRENTIAL RAIN™ is its versatile 4-way connection system. This allows for easy customization and adaptability to your specific drainage needs. Whether you're connecting pipes from the bottom for maximum sediment collection or from the top for a simplified setup, TORRENTIAL RAIN™ has you covered. The trap's scribed areas make it easy to customize the pipe size, ensuring a perfect fit.
Addressing Common Catch Basin Issues
One of the major drawbacks of traditional catch basins is the lack of sump space, leading to quick sediment buildup and potential clogs. TORRENTIAL RAIN™'s innovative design addresses this issue by maximizing sump capacity, allowing for more efficient sediment collection and reducing maintenance frequency.
Introducing the Click-and-Go Connection System
Say goodbye to messy adhesives and complicated connections! TORRENTIAL RAIN™ features a user-friendly click-and-go system, allowing for quick and secure connections to your existing pipes. Simply slip the pipe onto the two pins and click it into place - no tools or glue required.
Optimal Sediment Collection for Leechfields and Dry Wells
For applications like leechfields and dry wells, where preventing sediment buildup is crucial, TORRENTIAL RAIN™ offers a unique solution. By directing water in from the bottom and out through the top, the trap effectively captures sediment as the water rises, ensuring cleaner water reaches your drainage system.
Compact Size, Big Benefits
In addition to its compact size and efficient sediment collection, TORRENTIAL RAIN™ is only 5 inches wide, making it ideal for suburban and urban settings where space is limited. It's also perfect for projects where trenching is necessary, as it can easily fit within a standard 6-inch trench.
The Super Sump: Double the Sediment Capacity
For situations that demand even more sediment collection power, we offer a super sump version of TORRENTIAL RAIN™. With a capacity of 2.25 gallons, this upgraded version ensures your drainage system remains clog-free even under heavy sediment loads.
A Commitment to Innovation
French Drain Man is dedicated to creating innovative solutions for yard drainage. TORRENTIAL RAIN™ is the latest example of our commitment to providing high-quality, user-friendly products that make your life easier. I bought the first one you show. It has a nice feel. Its kinda big., its solid feeling. Feels tough. You can either pull the whole restrictor plate off to access or the vented cover which allows clear viewing inside. And fir the price. It feels high quality. Thanks for putting out good products. I have bought the 15 ft rolls of the pipes that worked like a charm for my smaller job., the fabuc is a nice heavy quality. Doesnt look like tissue paper like some other drain installers i see on UA-cam use on their systems.

    If you have 2 downspouts somewhat close to each other, would you recommend installing both into this and have a single outlet vs installing 2 separate CB for each downspout?

    Hey Rob, in michigan i know youve mentioned many times no check valve on outdoor sump pump system. But i am seeing in alot of videos guys drilling a small hole on the pvc pipe closest to the sump pump itself. Is this necessary ?m

    • @FRENCHDRAINMAN
      @FRENCHDRAINMAN 16 годин тому

      It's only necessary if you use a check valve. Without a check valve, it would be completely pointless and useless.

    I just got the pop up emitter with turf guard. Do i need to screw it on to my existing pipe? Or does it just pop in?

    • @FRENCHDRAINMAN
      @FRENCHDRAINMAN 12 годин тому

      If you have a standard pop-up fitting, and our top is to replace a broken pop-up, it will fit in any pop-up fitting. If you just have a pipe coming out of the ground, we don't recommend that; we recommend putting a fitting on for the pop-up, emitter to sit in. No screws are needed to hold it on to a standard pop-up emitter fitting.

    • @rogermeza6460
      @rogermeza6460 5 годин тому

      @FRENCHDRAINMAN ok thanks. I used to have just a grate on there. I took it off and am going to use the pop up emitter I bought from your site. I'm not sure how to tell if it's just a pipe or has a fitting. I believe it's a fitting because it's an existing drainage system for my gutter downspouts. It's an elbow pvc pipe.

    Just bought some and I feel like I’m missing something. I just dry fit everything and tested with the hose and I can hardly get a trickle. Also the water backs up so much in the pipe. I have more than enough slope, is it just not enough pressure with the hose?

    I have a basement with interior foundation perimeter sump drain system. This spring, we still had water entering the basement. I am considering installing your french drain system on the high side of my house and run it towards the alley drain area low side of our yard. Since sub surface water is getting under my foundation and pressurizing it, would your system even help? How deep should I try and get your system to around the house while maintaining slope? Thank you very much for your answers and all of your videos! Extremely helpful and well done!

    My existing gutter downspouts are schd20 and burried around 5-6 feet. Some of the old connections are cracked and i was thinking to use your high octane vs sdr30. A lot of "experts" suggest digging deep to original 5 feet depth. Your system is more appealing since will not require deep excavation. Any benefits of using old school sdr30 buried deep vs your design? Thank you

    Okay so what is this unspoken controversy between top perforations or bottom? One side insists you lay the pipe on a rock bed holes down so the water can flood up into the pipe. The other lays its pipe at the bottom of the trench as a low point, holes up so the water floods down into the drain. Obviously I know which side FD Man is on, and I personally think it makes no sense to have a gravity-fed conduit with holes at the bottom.... but clearly these bottom-holers aren't total lunatics, so what gives?

    I have a 50 ft by 15 ft patio paver area in my backyard. It used to flood so at the bottom corner of the patio I put in a 12 inch square catch basin. Then I ran 4 inch solid corrugated pipe out about 40 ft into the side of the canal bank about 2 ft from the top.The problem was that the water was running down the 10 ft high canal bank causing erosion.. I added another 10 ft of solid corrugated pipe to it and ran it down almost vertically so that it would come out about a foot above the water line of the canal and put a 4 inch round grate at the end of it in order to keep iguanas from climbing into it. Is there a problem with it going out 40 ft horizontally on a grade and then dropping about 8 ft vettically? Or will the force of the water dropping 8 ft straight down cause any solids to get stuck? The catch basin has a filter on it so it's mainly just tiny ficus leaves that might pass through. I can always take off the grate at the end to clear it out, but sometimes alligators are in the canal so I don't really want to climb down along the bank if I don't have to.

    • @FRENCHDRAINMAN
